Joomla London User Group - First Meetup of 2025 (delayed)
Join us for this month's Joomla User Group London (#JUGL) meetup!
We have two insightful sessions planned to enhance your Joomla experience:
Yannick Gaultier – 4Analytics: Private Analytics for Joomla
Yannick Gaultier will introduce 4Analytics, a state-of-the-art Joomla extension that offers comprehensive, privacy-focused analytics. Unlike traditional analytics tools, 4Analytics does not record personal information or use cookies, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR regulations. All data is securely stored on your own server, eliminating the need for third-party services.
Yannick will demonstrate the straightforward installation process and provide a tour of its features, including:
- Detailed metrics such as page views, visitor counts, session durations, and bounce rates.
- Insights into referrers, most viewed pages, visitor demographics, and device types.
- Identification of pages accessed by search engines and AI robots.
- Assessment of visitor engagement levels.
With its lightweight design, 4Analytics has minimal impact on website performance, making it an ideal choice for Joomla users prioritising privacy and efficiency. Learn more about 4Analytics at weeblr.com.
Gary & Phil – Docusaurus: Contributing to Joomla Documentation
Gary and Phil will guide attendees through the process of contributing to Joomla’s official documentation using Docusaurus, a modern static website generator. They will cover setting up Docusaurus on your local machine and demonstrate how to create pull requests to keep the documentation up to date.
This session will provide hands-on insights into:
- Installing and configuring Docusaurus for Joomla documentation.
- Utilising Markdown syntax and Docusaurus features to create and edit content.
- Submitting pull requests via GitHub to contribute effectively.
- Understanding the versioning system to manage documentation for multiple Joomla releases.
By participating, you'll learn how to enhance Joomla's documentation, benefiting the wider community and improving resources for developers and users alike. More details can be found at manual.joomla.org.
